Infant I

Ages: 6 weeks - 9 months
Class Size: 8

Our youngest learners at WCLC begin their lifetime of learning with our Infant program! Our infant classroom provides a warm and nurturing environment where each child is encouraged to explore and develop new skills at their own pace. We recognize the importance of one-on-one attention, hugs and lots of words of encouragement, while helping each child feel safe and secure! Our trained staff members spend their days assisting your child to achieve developmental milestones while they have fun at the same time! We follow an individualized schedule for each child, which is set by the families to help create a consistent routine for the child.

Infant activities include but are not limited to the following:

Infant II

Ages: 9 months - 18 months
Class Size: 8

Once your child has reached 9 months, they will move to our Infant II room! Our infant classroom provides a warm and nurturing environment where each child is encouraged to explore and develop new skills at their own pace. We recognize the importance of one-on-one attention, hugs, and lots of words of encouragement, while helping each child feel safe and secure! Toddler I

Ages: 18 months - 24 months
class size: 10

Our toddler program is broken up into two separate classrooms. This allows us to focus on the separate needs of our younger and older toddlers.

At WCLC toddlers are always on the move and excited to explore the world around them! We understand the curiosity and readiness of toddlers and have created a challenging and fast-paced day to fulfill these needs. In this room we introduce our centers daily schedule! Our Toddler 1 room offers your child a balance of active physical movement and an age-appropriate curriculum to cruise through at their own pace.

Toddler II

Ages: 2-3 years
Class Size: 12

Our Toddler 2 room at WCLC provides a mix of structured and unstructured activities that are sure to keep your child busy. Our daily schedule encourages self-guided learning and exploring their newfound independence! We balance the day with physical activities and an age-appropriate educational curriculum in a more structured environment than the Toddler 1 room. Regardless of developmental stage, each day is filled with laughter, reading, building self-confidence, and hands-on learning!

Preschool

Ages: 3-4 years
class size: 16

Our preschool classroom encourages the children to communicate, explore, and use their imaginations. Children at this age are very much into peer social interactions and finding a place in the group. During the day, children are encouraged to make choices for themselves, cooperate with others as well as listen and follow directions. Throughout the course of the program the classroom teachers lead the children in small and large group activities, such as movement, read-a-loud stories, circle time and art activities. The classroom is divided into different learning stations that allow children to become active participants in small-group discussions and learn to use materials and activities where they experience success. Through active participation, children learn to work in groups and develop a sense of belonging where they share excitement about learning.

Pre-K

Ages: 4-5 years
Class Size: 12

At this important age, children are preparing to go to kindergarten. They are very independent and are eager and receptive to learning new concepts. We offer children a combination of self-directed and teacher-directed activities to channel all their energy and excitement for their gross and fine motor development. Different learning stations are established throughout the classroom to offer new challenges. Children are given the opportunity to choose the center of their interest. Within this structured setting, they will use the available educational materials at their own pace. The teachers are always enthusiastic and sensitive to meet the individual needs of each child.
